HeartlandRSE was founded and started by Ashlyn Thomison, who at the time, was a college senior. As a survivor of teenage relationship abuse herself, she dedicated herself to aiding in our purpose of keeping kids and students safe. As she went through her education courses to become a teacher, Ashlyn realized that the issue at hand was not only overlooked in schools, but boarder line ignored. With her motivation in helping students and the schools, she formed a workshop to educate schools during their professional development days, which then became the backbone of HeartlandRSE. We at HeartlandRSE, share the same motivation to not only help our students and schools, but all who have the ability to help, which could be you!
